2010 August Breakfast Run
This
year's August Run was held on August 15th, with 13 cars and almost 40
people attending. Once again, breakfast was at Peter and Teresa's
home and there were plenty of pancakes to go around. For a bit of
entertainment, Peter fired up his 1913 Henderson motorcycle - the first
time it has run (in public) in over 50 years. Maybe we'll see it
on the road one of these days.
After breakfast, the group set off on
a short run through Burnaby, New Westminster, and Surrey. It was
a most interesting drive along the river through the Port Mann
area. Eventually, we ended up at Hawthorn Rotary Park in Surrey
for what has become an August tradition - ice cream floats. They
were especially welcome on this hot sunny day.
It was a perfect way to get the cars out and get the group together. Plan on attending this event next year.
