This year's June Tour was an island-hopping
affair.
The tour was held at Lake Cowichan on Vancouver Island and included
excursions
to the nearby Forestry Centre and via ferry to Saltspring Island.
As always, many notable cars (and their owners) were in
attendance.
Of particular interest were the pair of Kissels and a trio of Canadian
built Russells - a 1910, a 1915, and a 1911 Russell-Knight.
A terrifying moment was the roll-over crash of a
1913
Overland. Fortunately, the injuries sustained were not as bad as
they might have been, but the photo here serves to remind us all of the
need to keep thinking 'safety first.'
Another interesting sight - Dan Findlay - 14 years
old
- driving Ron Tremblay's Model T around the parking lot. A sign
of
things to come?
