Mission Madness
June 13 - 16, 2013
The Antique Chapter's 2013 June Tour was held
in Mission, B.C., with 35 cars participating from B.C.,
Alberta, and Washington. The first day's tour headed
east through the Fraser Valley for lunch in the town of
Agassiz. Then, after crossing over the Fraser River, the
cars made their way through the scenic farmlands of Chilliwack
and Abbotsford before returning to the hotel. An
afternoon ice cream stop was enjoyed by all.
Saturday's tour headed westward toward Maple Ridge with
stops at three private residences. There was lots to see
for everyone. After lunch in Maple Ridge, the return
drive headed over the Stave Lake Dam, winding up and then down
some pretty good hills in the areas north of Mission. It
was a beautiful day and a fine drive. At the
evening banquet, the People's Choice Award was presented to Dan
Findlay and his 1911 Stanley.
A short tour to the Westminster Abbey on Sunday morning
finished off the weekend. The tour mileage was about 150
miles with good drives, good friends, and good food.
Another great tour!
